You didn't mention anything about prayer..."if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles7:14-15

Viva la revolucion! I can't help but think about how the society of Paul's day called the believers "these men who have turned the world upside down" Acts 17:6b (Amp) Actually, the followers of Christ were trying to turn this upside-down world back to being rightside up. This occurs to me when I pray with someone in a public place (like a restaurant). I am not the oddball. I am only doing what is supposed to be normal for a human being. They are being weird by not acknowledging God and His goodness to us.

Thanks for your commitment to God and His truth. Oh, that today's believers would be accused of turning the world upside down!!

Brad ~ you are right on! I do believe that so many Churches have absolutely shut Jesus out. Our traditions have led us so far away from the Revolution that Jesus came to lead. The moment we walked into NR that revolution was reignited in us. God has moved in marvelous ways in our lives since the fire was lit again within our spirits. I just want to Thank you for constantly and faithfully fanning the flames to HIS Revolution. You are trulely an inspiration and we are so glad that God brought us to a place where His Son is the Center of all things. Thank you for your insights and for sharing Christ with us in a way we've never experienced before. May God continue to Bless and your Family... Take Care!

Brad, I so appreciated your talk! Thanks for making it available to us who missed it on 9/9/09.
Recounting your own struggles with the Church and the way most people see the Church today, and then so clearly and concisely comparing that to Jesus Christ's Mission, really exposed the truth on how we've gone astray from our true God-given purpose for being on this Earth. These points were illuminating to me as a new spiritual leader of a small group BIble study. It has been your bold, clear and encouraging talks on the Truth at NRC that, just like this one, have inspired me (and others, too) to step-up and serve/contribute...to be part of the Revolution! Keep lighting the fire under everyone everywhere with more talks like this one, Brad! Your voice of leadership is strong and true and many more will step up because of your God-given calling. Thank-You and God Bless You, Brad! :-)

This is exactly why I am a member of NRC. I also walked away from the church many years ago, but realized somthing was missing in my life. NRC showed me what that was....a REAL relationship with Jesus. That it wasn't about rituals and rules, but a loving relationship. Thank you Brad and everyone at NRC. My life will never the same.

I love the remark about not being the Parks and Recreation of the Middle Class...not being exclusive but inclusive! So often when at service at NorthRidge I'll look around and see so many faces...white, black, Asian, Hispanic...and I always find myself thinking "this really is the face of Jesus."
I am so happy to be part of The Revolution.

Excellent. I can't help but think that intentions are good in churches across the nation. "This is the way it's always been done so it must be right" and so on ..... For this reason, I love the efforts made at teaching and inspiring the spiritual leadership of the church. My prayer is for soft hearts; that which might be considered offensive to be turned into crazy inspiration!

I love what you say about the church not being a playground for middle class people. We need diversity in the church: rich, poor, white, black, conservative, liberal. Too many churches in the US are white, middle-class bastions of conservative politics. That's what makes NorthRidge so amazing.

I was talking with a neighbor awhile back she's twice my age...almost.We were both raised Roman Catholic and during our conversation we discussed churches.I mentioned that I'm a member of NorthRidge. She replied"that church must be doing something right they sure have a lot of people going there".I smiled in agreement .

I made a point to watch you on 9/9/09. It was just what my leaders and congregational influencers needed to hear. Thanks Brad.
